The food was great, the service was perfect, and she remembered every single detail of each of our 5 complicated orders. The prices were incredibly reasonable for being so close to the boardwalk. Wonderful place!!!

While in the past we have had decent food, today for me was an exception. While my husband's Ruben was tasty my cheeseburger was a disappointment. The menu states burger can be cooked "to your liking." So I ordered mine med rare with lettuce, tomato, and onion, on the side. That must have been to much for the cook to wrap his head around as the burger arrived very well done wearing it's salad ingredient. The waitress was cheery enough and even mentioned it to the cook. Who responded with a disinterested should shrug and a couldn't care less facial expression. There are too many other sandwich and grille spots to be bothered putting more money into this indifferent fry cook's apron pocket.

Bah!!! Sooooooooo expensive for horrible sandwiches!!! Got two sandwiches - ham, salami and provolone and a turkey with bacon sandwich - $24 - are you friggen serious!!!! The HSP sandwich was request with extra vinegar but was hardly showing signs of vinegar but completely doused with oil. The bread was inedible. The other sandwich was ok but seriously $24 for two simple sandwiches. This is ridiculous. Don't go here unless you want to be raped for garbage.

Solid mom & pop deli spot with eat-in or take-out. Quality and tasty food at cheap prices. Fries are above-average, mozzarella wedges are half-moon shapes and delicious. Burgers are wonderful. They're generous when it comes to the sandwiches. From out of town and want to save money but don't want to eat fast-food or at some chain restaurant that you can eat at back home? Hit up Southside.

This place has a good atmosphere and an amazing staff! The cold cut is to die for! Pro tip...ask for them to heat up the cold cut! It's really good! The fries are also good. Remind me of popeyes fries being seasoned. Would definitely recommend this ppace to anyone in the area looking for a great quick bite to eat!

Have been to Southside tons of times and they always have fantastic subs and yummy fries. Great local, small place to grab a meal or take-out. Always wonderful service.

Had a friend take me here. I was skeptical by these reviews, however they were wrong. The food was fairly priced and overall good. The soft shell crab sandwich was done quite nicely and didn't weigh me down for the rest of the day.

I don't know what these other two reviews are talking about but this place is really good and you'd do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

Everything made from a box or can on premises. I ordered the open-faced turkey special. The turkey was deli turkey cooked offsite and sold by the breast. The stuffing? Clearly from a box. The green beans? Mushy. Definitely from a can. Even here near OC there are far better options for the money. I'm not coming back.

They are hoping you mistake them for the REAL Southside deli in Berlin just w/o the Rt 90 bridge. We split the italian sub and their "special" roast beef and turkey. The italian was ok and the other was horrible with poor quality meat. Both rolls were doughy. Very pricey for tiny subs. Never again for us. Go to Billys in OC instead for the best italian cold.cut I've ever had.
